The painting is a collage of fabrics and is the protagonist of the Cat Fight video. It represents the digital synthesis of an old photograph of the Berlin’s Conciliation Church before its demolition. The church has a singular history as it was at the center of a dispute that profoundly marked the history of the second post-war period. The image dates back to a few years before the construction of the Wall, when, with the division of Berlin into 4 zones, the Church found itself in the Soviet sector, losing a large part of its community which found itself divided. When the Berlin Wall was built in 1961, the church was incorporated into the separation corridor of the two blocks called the "death strip", and from that moment it was no longer accessible. The church was blown up in 1985 by the GDR government to permanently eliminate one of the symbols of the anti-communist resistance. The canvas, along with other works, was inserted by the artist within the Cat Fight video to propose a reflection on violence. All the paintings included in the video are works of the past that were destroyed by the violence of man, transfigured by the artist into digital geometries to then transformed in collage of fabrics.
