In this collage the artist imagines the female protagonist of the novel dearest to her: "A la recherche du temps perdu" by Marcel Proust. It is Odette, a cocotte of great beauty that feeds mainly on its own attractiveness by exploiting it in favor of personal social rise. In the work the artist focuses on the precious details that evoke the splendor of a worldly Belle Epoque in which Odette participates as an unscrupulous lover of the nobility (amorous allusion revealed through the silver decoration that traces the shape of a heart around the oval of the face).
