Patroness of the Sumerian scribes, Nisaba was the goddess of writing, wisdom and wisdom, and had the task of spreading knowledge.
In this painting we see her depicted in an iconographically contemporary version that does not draw on traditional and ancient iconic matrices; styled with braids, which allow you to notice the anomalous shape of the head, undoubtedly elongated compared to the
norm. This is because Nisaba is part of that caste of deities, described with larger sized skulls.
The orange stripe behind the face reproduces engravings in a so-called alphabet inside
"Cuneiform", used in the past and considered very ancient.
Some letters of this writing are imprinted on the skin of her forehead, like a scar, a sign of a ritual overcoming of conscientious appropriation.
His lips are not completely closed, almost as if to whisper something, a verbal sign of the conscious role of those who hold knowledge and can spread it to those who are worthy of receiving it.
Mixed Medium: Airbrush, paintbrush, acrylic paints.
On rigid panel
Base: prepared with putty, and final finish with opaque and glossy transparent paints.
