In a world dominated by technology that advances according to an exponential growth process (Ray Kurzweil), man can imagine possible future scenarios in which it becomes essential to recognize the value of collaboration between man and technology.
Prometheus, ally of men, just and compassionate Titan, moved by a great compassion for men at that time still in a wild state and unable to use the forces of nature, stole a spark from the god Hephaestus and gave them the gift of fire. He taught men how to use fire thanks to which they had a well-being they had never enjoyed before.
In my opinion, the myth of Prometheus can be understood as an allegory of the demands for change in today's reality. It is in Prometheus' epic gesture that the sense of a new épos for a future lies, an invitation to solidarity, collaboration and mutual respect as each of us can act like Prometheus. For these reasons, in my opinion, the myth of Prometheus appears to be current in contemporary society and in particular in the 5.0 society which places man and his well-being at the center and in which technology, easily associated with the "spark" of Prometheus, becomes symbol and icon of the company of the future.
