The group multimedia project "Landscapes of the soul" was born from the collaboration with colleagues Silvia Di Bella, Tiziana Corsaro with whom I took care of the design and artistic direction and further external skills (2 architects and the sound engineer).
The multimedia installation is based on the reflection of how the environment that surrounds us, as it changes, modifies our sensations, stimulating different perceptions; at the same time, each of us, with our own experiences and experiences, can interpret the landscape in our own inner state. two elements synthesize the urban and natural landscape: the scaffolding and the trees. The branches of the trees, like the texture of the scaffolding, merge and interact with each other to create different landscapes and arouse different stimuli. Everything is conceived as a sort of mental journey where the user is physically exposed to the vision and interpretation of physical places, at the same time he will be invested by different emotions that will lead him to travel within himself.
In daily life, the human being is subjected to relate to the external environment, to observe different landscapes, to travel with the body. In this installation he also travels with his mind, reflecting on what he observes and how his surroundings can influence him emotionally. The body, thanks to its emotional reactions, becomes the filter, the interface that relates the reality inside itself and the virtual reality outside itself. The color world is filtered in black and white and in negative making it a stylistic discourse, drawing inspiration from x-ray images and the black and white of photography.
Black and white are considered as a condition of dark and light. The darkness of those who do not observe, do not grasp, do not perceive, ignore and the condition of light of those who observe what surrounds them and what they have inside, a condition of wisdom and knowledge.
