"Ascolta. Piove" - a title inspired by the famous opera by Gabriele D'Annunzio - is the project specially designed for CRAG Gallery, which is both the main work of the exhibition and the title of the exhibition itself.
Conceived as an aesthetic homage to Nature and the places of interpenetration between human sentiment and the plant world, the exhibition hypothesis tells, through sculptures and environmental installations, the ineffable delicacy of emotions.
At the entrance of the exhibition an arboreal pergola condenses lightly on the visitor’s head and accompanies him from the corridor to the main hall where the symbolic universe of Gnata opens. Anthropic and vegetal elements unravel like the languages of the world, enveloping each other in a joyful natural dance.
The line, elementary graphic sign, represents the hinge of each composition. The artist, using the 3D pen, embroiders the contours of the bodies not to separate them, but to unite them in a single universal yarn. The transparencies let the light filter making the works live and changeable, overlapping with each other and the environment that surrounds them. Atmospheric figures compose hybrid spaces of interpenetration between man and Nature, closed and open space, full and empty.
"Ascolta. Piove" reinterprets and actualizes the feeling of union with the Whole expressed by D'Annunzio’s Panism, seeking in it the starting point for a global human renewal: an ethical metamorphosis, even before biological, necessary to establish a fair dialogue with nature and with the living beings that inhabit it.

Details:
The work consists of elements drawn using the technology of the 3D pen, which allows you to draw lines whose existence does not prescind from a physical support below.
After extrusion on a horizontal plane, the solidified material (PLA) detaches from the original surface, getting rid of the and becoming an object in space. Not sculptures created by modelling and bending matter, but works created through a two-dimensional graphic approach, later become three-dimensional.
It is an invention that allows you to feel the graphic sign, not relegating it to a surface, but freeing it from the same. This sign, when it manifests its true nature and graphic expression, stops being a sign, becoming a sculptural object. It’s an elusive dimension. Because it manifests itself in a conjuncture that links drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and photography, without one part prevailing over the others; or perhaps, uniting them all at the origin of art, the one that, according to Pliny, is found precisely in drawing.
