The "Horizons" series constitutes a form of "abstract impressionism": the intent is "cognitive" and aims to isolate the minimal formal elements through which the brain can recognize a plane space and the high/low axes. In the variation and granularity of color, a depth is also simulated, in the same way that the human eye functions through patterns of tonal density. The space of "Horizons" is therefore not a perspective space, but an abstract one, yet in visual interpretation one can identify a sea that is lost in infinity, or a sunny plain.
