In computing, the term overwrite refers to the deletion of data from memory and its replacement with new files. A photographic image is also a memory file and can therefore be modified or overwritten. This work aims to create an overwrite of the initial image by first manipulating it digitally and then applying various painterly interventions that rewrite the visual narrative of the image.
