This work aims to represent a failed attempt at integration. In the work there is the drama of people who have left their homeland to escape injustice and poverty, leaving behind their history, heritage, and roots. They find themselves violently confronted with the darkness of losing the promise of a new life. They are the discarded ones, those without a future, searching for it elsewhere but finding it denied. They are the desperate, those who longed for an integration that, unfortunately, will never come.
