This collage speaks of a friendship lost and then found again, held together by those details that make the difference—like a pin, the one we see in the center. I wanted to incorporate into the work materials that are essentially humble but that, in their existence, once contained something more meaningful, continuing the philosophy of giving new dignity to matter, a new form, giving it a new life—just as a seemingly broken friendship could have. Patching up here and there the tears, the cuts, the pains perhaps, which with the right anchors can still hold together.

From the back of the paper section on the right, you can also glimpse some writing: a dedication, perhaps, or a promise that can never be read again because those materials have been glued, and removing them would risk erasing them forever. This way, instead, they remain—just as the memories of friendships remain, even of those that have ended.
