Memory voices

The project started as a work centered on the memories of strangers. The original photographs were digitally edited to create cyanotype prints, exploring the positive/negative inversion of the image. The cyanotype process was later enhanced through toning, giving the images an aged effect that reflects memory and the passing of time. Working from the negative comes from the desire to express a memory that cannot be fully communicated—still unfocused and undefined—representing an impersonal recollection. Many stories and voices belong to people from the past and present, and my work aims to give form to both personal and shared narratives.
