They will be artist

They are spectators, they are part of a scene that really existed, a moment you don't know where and when, and they are sitting on the ground. The painting is inspired by a photograph of the past. With this canvas my interest in being placed on the ground, being part of an event as a spectator, being in the background in a photo, continues. The position suggests a kind of passivity that however causes an active contemplative state. Maybe they are creating the foundations for their careers thanks to something they have absorbed from the street and the actions that happen around them. The title refers to my hypothesis and is a possible key to interpretation, the possible future practice of the art of the two girls. Art that could arise from certain actions: boredom, the contemplative state and the scene around them. One moment among many, in a distance, is magnified and transformed into something symbolic and red matter. Colour, being only one, becomes a material like any other. The eyes and mouths of the girls, like distorted caricatures, propose irony as an approach to the serious questions of existence.
