Virtù

This work is a visual reflection inspired by a fragment of the Greek lyric poetry of Simonides of Ceos, particularly his renowned praise of Virtue as a hard-won achievement—never given freely but “the object of toil and sweat.”

The female figure, depicted frontally like an archaic goddess, appears vulnerable in her nudity, yet a diamond gleams on her chest, symbolizing inner strength, purity, and spiritual determination. The third eye on her forehead alludes to a higher dimension, the divine. The blossoming branch she holds in her hands represents human life: fragile and fleeting, yet full of meaning and beauty.

Behind her, a rocky background and a large sun-like shape painted on the wall evoke an inner light that dispels the shadows of doubt and uncertainty, guiding the soul toward a higher state of being. - Digital painting
