“The Perfection of the Circle” proposes a reflection on the utopia of perfection, on the human obsession with the ideal form, the closed cycle in which beginning and end coincide.
The circle, an ancestral symbol of completeness, eternal return, and cosmic harmony, is here called into question: a real, technical, human-made object that was meant to embody that perfection — the burner — has been consumed by time, use, and the failure of matter.
The fracture in the circle thus becomes a symbolic wound, a point of rupture in the myth of perfection. The damage makes visible the truth that the perfect idea cannot exist in the real world, because everything real is subject to time, wear, and limitation.
