This work presents itself as a delicate mesh-like filter, in
dialogue with the perception of natural light within the
hosting space.
Formally, it recalls the structure of a mosquito screen—yet
entirely handcrafted. Subtle variations in thickness emerge as organic elements, such as the artist’s own hair, are
interwoven with artificial ones: original threads from ordinary mosquito netting, carefully unraveled by hand and
intricately reassembled using small lead weights.
The horizontal and vertical tensions of the composition
blend into the surrounding light shifts, both reflecting
and refracting them. The result is a precise threshold
upon which the gaze can sharpen—between fluctuating
transparencies and the tension of boundaries that reveal
and conceal.
