Antonella Giulia Patini, born in Gorizia in 1957, was entrusted to her aunt in Brazil and later adopted with the surname Quacchia. Upon returning to Italy, she graduated in Computer Science in Turin. She worked at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), providing computer support to physicists. Subsequently, at the ILO (International Labour Organization) in Geneva, she worked in digital communication. During numerous trips to Asia, Africa, and the Americas, she discovered different cultures and the beauties of our planet. Since 2012, in Geneva, she pursued her lifelong passion for artistic expression, studying art and experimenting with various painting techniques through courses and workshops with renowned local artists. Since 2020, she lives and works in Vienna and Prague, dedicating herself exclusively to art. She participates in numerous exhibitions in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Among her solo exhibitions, standout events include a personal exhibition at the Palazzo della Cancelleria Vaticana in Rome in 2023, and the exhibition at MyOwnGallery, SuperStudio Più in Milan. In collaboration with curator Fortunato D'Amico, she explores new artistic expressions by creating wall works and sculptures. With Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori, she presented a bilingual monograph titled “Antonella Quacchia. Orizzonti sensibili” during Milano BookCity 2023.
