exibart prize is an award dedicated to art and all its forms. Specifically, the categories admitted are: illustration, drawing, painting, graphics, digital art, performance, sound art, photography, and sculpture. In general, all other categories of art not explicitly mentioned are also admitted.

To participate in the exibart prize N5, one must be registered on the site exibartprize.com, publish up to a maximum of 9 works on their personal page, and be up-to-date with the payment of the registration fee.

Art. 1 – PURPOSE

• The competition aims to promote Italian and international contemporary art. The prize is not awarded to a single work in competition but is designed to be dedicated to the artist. Therefore, the entire page will be evaluated, including works, biography, and any video contributions.

Art. 2 – PARTICIPATION

• The prize is open to any kind of artist with no age or qualification limits.
• The prize does not require the competing works to be unpublished nor adhere to a defined style or subject.

Art. 3 – SELECTION SYSTEM AND JURY

The selections take place in two phases.

• In the first phase, the jury is composed of the members of the exibart editorial staff, who select the finalist artists.
• In the second phase, a new selection of jurors will determine the winner of the prize.
• The artists who are in the top 10 positions in the final ranking (excluding the winner, who is not allowed to participate again in the prize) will have the right to access directly the final of the following year as a free invitation.

Art. 4 –  PRIZES AND BENEFITS

Winner of Exibart Prize N5:

• €6,000 for the acquisition of a work of the artist’s choice to be included in the exibart collection and used to create the cover of an issue of exibart onpaper, featuring an in-depth piece and an interview with the winner. A withholding tax will be applied to the prize as required by law.
• €5,000 in the form of an advertising bonus that the artist can use, with no expiration date, to promote their exhibitions and events.
• Production and commercialization of an artist’s multiple.
• The winner will be invited to theme the exibart stand at one of the primary art fairs in which exibart participates.
• The artist will have the right to be published in the book “222 Emerging Artists to Invest In” periodically published by exibart editions.
• The artist will be featured on the exclusive cover of exibart onpaper in the special edition distributed at one of the primary art fairs in which exibart participates, with an interview.
• The winning artist’s work will be included in the prestigious digital catalog of finalists, offering unique visibility and the opportunity to be discovered by a vast audience of art enthusiasts.

2nd Place Prize:

• €3,000 for the acquisition of a work of the artist’s choice to be included in the exibart collection. A withholding tax will be applied to the prize as required by law.

Premio 3° classificato

• €1,000 for the acquisition of a work of the artist’s choice to be included in the exibart collection. A withholding tax will be applied to the prize as required by law.

Benefits for Top-Ranked Artists:

• If you are among the top 10 ranked, you will have the opportunity to participate in a prestigious group exhibition organized at the Exibart headquarters. This exhibition provides an exceptional platform to showcase your work alongside other talented artists, offering greater visibility and the chance to connect with collectors, curators, and industry professionals.
• The top 5 ranked artists will have the right to be published in “222 Emerging Artists to Invest In.”
• If you are among the top 10 ranked, your work will be included in the prestigious digital catalog of finalists, which will be widely distributed online, providing significant visibility for your art.
• If you are among the top 10 ranked, you will receive free registration for the next edition of the prize. This will allow you to participate again in the competition without incurring any registration costs.

• Editorial space reserved on Exibart, where you will have the opportunity to present your artistic work in detail. This space will offer a privileged platform to express your creative vision, share your experiences, and connect with a passionate art audience. It will be a unique opportunity to highlight your voice and talent.

Art. 5 –  TIMELINE AND DURATION

Registrations for the prize are allowed until 11:59:59 PM on December 31, 2024.
Works can be uploaded until 11:59:59 PM on January 15, 2025.
By February 28, 2025, the expert jury will announce the winner of exibart prize N5.
By September 30, 2025, the digital catalog of exibart prize containing all the finalists will be published.

Art. 7 – TERMS AND COSTS OF PARTICIPATION

• Online registration. Submission of the nominated work, texts, captions, payment of the fee, etc., takes place within the personal account on the site.
• The cost for participating in the exibart prize N5 is €122.00.
• For all students of academies and art schools, the registration fee is €61.00. In this case, it is necessary to specify the school attended so that it can be verified by the prize secretariat.
• exibart reserves the right to modify, at its sole discretion, the cost of the ongoing prize registration and to apply different prices for different categories of entrants. Furthermore, if deemed appropriate, it reserves the right to postpone the closing date of the prize.

Art. 8 – PAYMENT METHODS

All payments must be made in euros with no costs or commissions charged to Exibart. Please specify the name and surname of the artist as registered in the payment reference.

In case of payment by bank transfer, although the order is pending until payment is received, the account is still immediately active, and you can start uploading profile elements and works without further communication.

Art. 9 – TRANSPORT

The works of the winning artist that will be acquired by Exibartlab will be transported at the expense of Exibartlab.

Art. 10 – COPYRIGHT

The artists retain the rights to the images of the works uploaded online but grant exibartlab the right to use them for communication and promotion purposes: to create the prize catalog, for promotional material associated with the prize, and for publication on exibartlab’s websites.

The person or organization submitting the entry on the site is entirely responsible for the content of the visual and textual material sent and transmitted on the Prize’s website. The Organization reserves the right to remove defamatory or obscene texts or images unless formally justified by the artist. The images of the works submitted to the Prize will remain visible online or in use, forming part of the complete visual documentation of the Prize’s activity, and cannot be removed.

The candidate expressly authorizes exibartlab, as well as their direct delegates, to process the participating artist’s personal data in accordance with Law 675/96 (‘Privacy Law’) and subsequent amendments D.lgs. 196/2003 (Privacy Code), also for inclusion in databases managed by the aforementioned persons. Any disputes will be handled in Italy and according to Italian law. Personal data, images of the prize works and/or other works uploaded to the site, or films/videos shot by the Organization during an event, to promote the artists and themselves, for web promotion, communication, or marketing, may be used by the Organization without necessarily seeking the parties’ consent.
