MIXED MEDIA OF PADDED ELEMENTS (soft sculpture), STUDS; WOOD
BILE stages form and meaning through an ambiguous and layered visual lexicon. A black, studded tongue climbs upon a padded mass that simultaneously evokes respiratory organs and male genitalia. The morphological identity is elusive: the body is fluid, unclassifiable.
"Bile" is a liquid of anger, of frustration, and becomes a metaphor for a repressed emotion, but also for an internal transformation that escapes the norm and dichotomy.
The articulation between soft materials and metallic elements introduces a visual tension between vulnerability and defense. In this liminal space, BILE proposes an aesthetic of the post-human: a body not defined by its biological function, but by a continuous symbolic and political renegotiation.
