The work engraved on metal plate presents a layered surface of signs, faces, and material traces, created through unconventional printing techniques and oxidation processes that contribute to a complex and profoundly expressive visual effect. The material of the plate itself becomes an integral part of the artistic language: corrosion, color stains, and abrasions generate an irregular texture that evokes the passage of time and the tensions of contemporaneity.
At the center of the composition, a constellation of human faces emerges, drawn with a simple yet incisive line. The figures clearly belong to an ethnic and cultural plurality, suggesting the image of a global and interconnected society. The faces are not idealized: on the contrary, they display an intense range of emotions—astonishment, pain, joy, anxiety, weariness—that reflect the complexity of the human experience in the present.
