The work represents the miracle of the passage from one stage of life to another, passing through a phase of apparent death without which it would not have been possible. This occurs in nature for the caterpillar which becomes a butterfly. The ancients called Chrysallis the larva closed in the cocoon waiting for the new life that would see it "butterfly". The term derives from the Greek "chrusos" (gold) and from the Sanskrit "har" (to burn - to shine). Probably we wanted to emphasize the symbolic value of the passage of the spirit from the earthly stage of the crawling caterpillar, to that elevated to the sky of the beautiful and ethereal butterfly. Through this image I wanted to represent the rebirth and catharsis that occurs in the human being after experiencing suffering, with particular reference to overcoming a penalizing event such as the Covid 19 pandemic.
