SOLASTALGIA

The motif of the sculpture alludes to solastalgia, to the emotional or existential distress referred to the present that manifests itself when one witnesses a negative transformation of the place in which one lives. The formerly familiar environment becomes alien and threatening, causing discomfort, apathy, and even a loss of identity. Transformations caused by the climate crisis, environmental degradation and even conflicts.
