The artwork is a black hornbeam wood sculpture, formed by a single trunk divided in half and then painted in acrylic internally. The central grain is taken from a charcoal sign for its entire length. The two parts are then compared, installing them on a metal base, approaching the two parts from their inner side and then going to create the final sculpture.
Edition: single piece
The work Dialogue mimics the Myth of the Androgynes: Man becomes a deity and, like Zeus who from Olympus divides the Androgynous being in half with his lightning bolt, uses his own artifacts to perform the same operation on the trunk. Two parts of a single trunk destined to look for each other, which dialogue in order to be able, perhaps one day, to unite and feel completed. It is here that the primordial memory comes into play, the first grain, to put them in contact and making the two halves dialogue, perhaps, for eternity. It is through memory that the work remains anchored to its own reality and through which it nourishes its existence. As for the trunk is perhaps for the man. So is also for the Man, which it is thanks to his past experiences, the primordial memories, that he draws vital nourishment for his Self within an existence made of eternal search outside of Time.
