Drew is a site specific installation exhibited in an art foundation. Dust is a material quality that accumulates over time and settles on surfaces, leaving a trace of temporality. The window sill is a space where without a specific function, dust collects over time. In this site-specific installation, a custom-made glass container is filled with green pigment, which resembles dust in terms of its granular structure. Being placed on the window sill the Through the window green plants were visible(the only organic life forms visible in the whole industrial complex. “Drew” became a way to establish a dialogue between the historical character of place, and the green plants visible through the window, and the passage of time.
The work was displayed in a factory that produced hand grenades during Vietnam war in the 1960s.
