Futuro anteriore IIII reflects on the global challenge for renewable and sustainable energy sources. A tightrope walker moves forward alone and precariously balanced, a symbol of an entire humanity in search of sustainable solutions. The rope comes out of the picture, suggesting an open ending.
This work is part of the series Futuro anteriore I-IIII, in which I ironically invert the timeline to depict in four tableaux contemporary critical issues, referring to the archaic aesthetics of cave painting.
Acrylic and acrylic ink on cotton canvas 400 g, partly treated with fine structural paste for acrylic, frameless
