Genesis ( The Rite)

The concept behind the work is a reflection on the divinity of creation. The creative act is symbolized by the main figure, a being with elven connotations, made of matter and sacred fire (red colored, symbol of creative passion, the head welcomes a light source) who gives birth to a spiritual being (white colored) , in a symbolic key it represents the artist's creature, endowed with the third eye, an indication of the ability to see beyond, as the work is the spokesperson of what is invisible and transcends reality. The rite, which is repeated with the eternal cyclical nature of life, is circumscribed in a circle composed of boulders of lava stone (to indicate the sacredness and atavistic nature of the moment) and made even more sacred by the presence of the small human figure, a being , who amazed, as a sign of devotion, lends his own light, as if to direct the observer's attention towards the grandeur of the miracle of creation that he is witnessing incredulously.
Technique: patinated, colored terracotta, caolin clay, lava stone, grey stone, wax. There is a source of light inside the head of the sculpture.
