This opening triptych is part of the visual project, 'Change'. The stagnation of the past, the warning signs of the present, and the prospect of a sustainable future all depend on the choices we make. In the West, we want an environment that meets our needs. However, bending the planet to our desires does not necessarily guarantee the well-being we expect.
The 'Change' project reflects the emotions evoked by environmental conflict. It was presented at Paratissima 2023 during Turin Art Week. The complete visual project consists of 12 photographs, one triptych and two installations.
I have portrayed a cross-section of society through my illuminated figures who, from their privileged position, observe the frenetic pace of humanity and its effects on the environment.
Droughts, floods and tornadoes give voice to a planet that does not seem to bow to the demands of its inhabitants, namely the incessant voracity for energy and resources which, although increasingly available, never seem to be enough.
The project “Change” is a desire for change in everyone's habits, a conscious choice for our own well-being and that of the planet.
