Il lungo addio

In this artwork, the protagonists are symbolically pigs who leave a mark of their presence. The prehistoric handprints found on cave walls are transformed into hoof prints of pigs impressed onto the concrete. The piece features a performative element where the painted surface is scratched and defaced, producing a sound that evokes the grunt or, more aptly, the scream of a pig through this violent action.
The imprints are made with spray can on aquapanel board.
