IL PESO DEL VUOTO

Art often becomes a means to express one's own troubles, becoming the voice of the community in a universal way. Erika Godino's "The Weight of Emptiness" tells precisely this story, of the various tumults existing in the human soul, between chaos and the achieved inner balance. The installation invites the interlocutor to merge and blend within this sort of cinematic film, on which the artist transcribes their own emotions, moods, and periods of their life. Anxiety, balance, and restlessness are overshadowed by the sense of emptiness that pervades even the unconscious, capable of creating a new imagery that distorts reality. The work aims to trigger an intimate dialogue, no longer remaining private, but allowing the contemplation of the essence of the human soul.
