Io & Me is a project I did during the lockdown. It is a graphic novel that tells the story of a character who faces his loneliness and his multiple states of mind within the walls of his home. Far from our everyday lives, forced to stay in our homes and confined to our spaces, we spent months in close contact with ourselves.
The character in the story has only one eye, like the cyclops, described in Greek mythology as monstrous beings living isolated from each other in natural caves. This eye can also be traced back to the eye described in Hindu and Buddhist religious traditions, the eye corresponding to the sixth chakra, called the forehead, a kind of "inner eye".
The appearance of this character and his visible 'anomaly' is the result of these two insights.
There is only one copy of the work, made by direct printing on dibond.
