Installation: photographic print on nautical cloth, rope, multi-channel audio system, audio track in ambisonic format. Unique piece.
The installation is composed of 6 speakers and 3 photographs of 3 moments representing the demolition of the piezometric tower that I took in 2019 with a Nikon D200 in Nove (VI). The tower had been painted around the 80s by the artist Pompeo Pianezzola, but its resto- ration was never completed and it was demolished to avoid damage to third parties.
“The Fall of the Sky” is the fall of certainties and perception. The images installed are photographs of an event dilated in time, and placed next to the pair of speakers that each image brings with it, in their dialogue between space,
soundscapes, human and non-human songs, aim to shape a place where time is confused. The ambisonic format
forces the ear and the behavior of the spectator to reach the center of the regular geometric figure; in fact, the aim of the installation is to direct the user’s behaviour through an indirectly imposed stimulus in order to make him aware of the actual sound space created.
The installation is permeable, accessible from 3 different points, therefore easy to cross, leaving the spectator free to enjoy in the times and dimensions that are most convenient for him.
