The cage, the waiting, the escape" is a reflection on the concept of mental, emotional and interior “cage”. The work presents symbolic elements, realised through the projection of three small shadows in the belly of the depicted character.
A bird cage, a chair, a window. The first one represents everything that atrophies and oppresses our thinking. The chair symbolises the wait: the moment of reflection and research, thanks to which we get to understand how to reach to the way of escape, the window. The shadow projection of the cast of the hands portrays a head of a dog completing the protagonist’s body. It also has a symbolic meaning: the dog is an animal that lives halfway between its wild side and its tamed one, which remains influenced by the external constraints of the human being.
