“Lampione con un nugolo di insetti

This work is an oil on linen made in 2021 and measures 40x60 cm. I have always been fascinated by the play of textures created by the insects that on summer evenings struggle around the lit street lamps. I like to imagine that they flee the darkness to secure themselves around artificial light. This painting would like to be my free figurative, but not realistic, interpretation of these summer images.
