Multimedia installation - unique work - wood/plexiglass/iron
The multimedia installation Light Building (2011) draws inspiration from questions about the cognitive and empathic potential of the imagination.
The choice was made to represent an illuminated building in which each window corresponds to a negative. The analogue images, collected during projects carried out in the United States, Latin America, Asia and Africa, constitute a world unto themselves within the building which, in correlation with the sound medium (also analogue), recreate the atmospheres and moods associated with each place and each life story. Light Building is a critical document which, by establishing the complexity of the term “building” as personal memory, aims to recreate a powerful image of peoples and communities in an increasingly virtual world, evoking the sky, spaces and human relationships as places of consciousness and forms of diversity and richness.
