“We are not part of something that belongs to us, and we belong to something of which we are not truly a part.”
How often do we feel hybrid in this society? Do we feel different due to cultural, intellectual, physical, religious, or sexual reasons? Do we feel divided between two worlds, in an intermediate space where our roots are deep but distant, and our presence is real but lacks resonance? This paradox creates an identity and liminality discomfort, in which one cannot fully express oneself, there is no emotional connection, and no recognition or inclusion of the individual. It is a borderline condition, an intermediate phase in which one is no longer where they were and has not yet arrived at a certain destination. The human need for authentic connection leads to a life that, although functional and rich in experiences, lacks that sense of psychological grounding one feels when truly complete. Therefore, it is necessary to rebalance our priorities and seek a space where the different parts of our identity can coexist in both the inner and outer world.
