Emulsified canvas that contains 6 frames which in turn are the result of superimposing multiple photographic negatives. The emulsified canvas "The Uncertainty of Thought" is part of a cycle of photographic drawings elaborated by the author directly in the darkroom and characterize the work of Andrea Granchi in the mid-1970s. This canvas together with others is framed in the cycle "Theory of uncertainty" comprising a series of reworked sequences and culminating with the 1978 film of the same title which was presented at the 1978 Venice Biennale.
