The work is intended to be the plastic-pictorial transposition of Franz Kafka's famous story, from which he also draws the title, and focuses in particular on the analysis of the incipit: A morning, when he wakes from restless dreams, Gregor Samsa found himself transformed into a huge insect. Lying in the bed on his back as hard as an armor, it was enough to raise his head a little to see his belly convex, brownish, divided by arched furrows; on top of the belly the blanket, on the verge of slipping on the ground, barely held. In front of his eyes, his legs were flailing, much more numerous than before, but of a bleak subtlety.
From a technical point of view, the work consists of various materials such as: hair, nails, glue, paper and putty, while the support used is, physically, the book itself of Kafka.
