"Matter as a field of memory and resistance"
trace / loss / crossing
The work is constructed as a threshold between personal memory and collective history, as a field of tension between presence and disappearance.
Layers of material, abrasions, and marks evoke wounded geographies, traversed by invisible routes. The reference to the deaths in the Mediterranean emerges as an unreconciled memory, inscribed in the material itself. The work does not represent, but retains: it restores the weight of what has been swallowed up and continues to resurface.
