The composition puts in parallel three pairs of objects with the same meaning, but through completely different forms: Bread in ceramic and plate of bread. A reversal of roles given by the irony and voluntary lack of understanding of the production process of the two materials, bringing together these two materials so similar in simplicity and primordiality, in search of a third meaning created by the sum of the two.
The apparently functional object of the plate is uprooted and placed in the vertical plane, connoting it with an absolutely aesthetic value, leaving the ceramic bread in the absolute foreground, an expressive object full of iconic symbolism.
Technique: Plates: elements in shortcrust pastry cooked at 200° on plaster molds. Bread: elements in refractory ceramic enriched with manganese and iron oxides, porcelain, engobes.
