"Non so fare altro che vivere" is a kinetic installation grounded in the obstinacy of the vital gesture, in the fatigue of persistence. A vertical body, seemingly mechanical, supports a flexible tangle of tubes: hollowed elements, inert viscera or exhausted arteries, bending to gravity yet remaining bound to a center.
The work reflects on an existential state devoid of heroism: survival as an elementary, animal, almost automatic condition. The verticality of the structure opposes the softness of the tubing, but does not dominate it—the two poles coexist in an unstable balance, a tension between resistance and surrender.
An organism that has nothing left to express except its own presence. There is no function, no purpose, no consolatory aesthetics—only the continuous, futile, irreplaceable act of living.
Sound and kinetic installation. Mixed media using iron, silicone tubing, engine oil, electromechanical systems, and sensors. Unique work. Self-supporting structure.
