Site specific installation.
The central space of the Ex Oratorio of San Lupo hosts Oracle Room, an installation consisting of ephemeral walls:
thousands of small strips of paper hung with little hooks will cover a dense net. The visitor must choose between two options: to access to the installation or look down as a mere spectator. Each strip is in fact a fragment of an image with a word or phrase on the backside. The visitor is invited to pick it up and conserve it. The Oracle Room is a constantly changing transitory place, according the number of visitors. The more people come, the more the paper walls are reduced, revealing the architectural structure of the space. But at the same time with the dissolution of the paper wall, the work will expand in a space not defined by ordered boundaries, suggesting how the work itself has an existence characterized by a continuous and relentless change – as maybe the spectator too.
