“O’ rummore ra città” is a modular sound installation composed of spherical plexiglass cells, each containing urban sounds from Naples—shouts, car horns, voices, crowded places—which together form a vibrating, pulsating skin, a “wall of noise” that becomes a collective body. The sounds, emitted by 24 speakers connected to a multichannel amplifier, alternate and overlap until reaching a climax in which they all play in synchrony, transforming urban chaos into an emerging chant.
The installation offers total immersion: the visitor perceives the density, stratification, and collective energy of Naples, where noise becomes melody and the city turns into a living sonic organism.
Sound installation. Mixed media using iron, plexiglass, twenty-four 2” speakers, amplifier, audio cables, and sound composition. Unique work.
