Mixed media - unique work - wood/preformed steel
Paesaggio#2 is a fundamental part of the C-Paisagens#3 project and constitutes the first series of Industrial Landscapes. The work evokes the view of a mountain landscape seen from the factory workspace: constructed in welded preformed steel and set apart from the surface plane, this assembly offers, in its apparent simplicity, a clear and didactic synthesis of reality. However, it conceals a dynamic and chaotic world, which conveys a sense of the precariousness of existing paradigms.
Paesaggio#2 invites us to reflect on the universal condition of subordination of contemporary man, stimulating a continuous dialogue between form, meaning and society. The work thus becomes a liberating sign that encourages the co-creation of new and shared landscapes, where the connection with the environment is not only visual but deeply experiential.
The “counter-landscapes” hypostatise the aesthetic narrative of an existential landscape through the prism of social relations and work in the broadest sense. This evaluative practice aims to represent the relationship between work, nature and the essence of life in order to understand how reality manifests itself, influences us and, at times, deceives us.
