Parole come onde del mare…nel ritmo ripetitivo evocano

The narrative of this work is a reflection on what we had proposed to ourselves in a very difficult period that had united us all. Many words thought, words said, but then forgotten... so to leave a trace they were written on twisted paper ribbons, repeated several times and arranged in such a way as to recall the movement and rhythm of the sea waves as they arrive. ashore, when they crash onto the beach. As they contin-ue their journey, the waves reduce their strength and their volume in the incessant coming and going, in proceeding in one direction, in return-ing in the opposite one, in re-taking motion and then... slowly dissolving. The same goes for words thought, pronounced, then... forgotten, then dissolved.

White cardboard strips printed with key words of universal content, twisted and glued at the ends, on the basis of a studied distribution, on 36 laminil panels measuring 24 cm x 24 cm, thickness 0.5 cm, covered with blue cardboard in various nuances. The 36 panels, with a 30° inclination, arranged in 6 rows, are screwed onto the two cardboard sheets, in the original colour, measuring L 212 cm x H 150 cm – thickness 1.2 cm.
