The video investigates rebirth, the transformation of one's pain into love. The shot is a Renaissance self-portrait, which sheds light on the emotional psychology of the ‘I’. It has an ascending rhythm, given by reverse time. The Christic theme of ‘Pieta’ is inspired by Michelangelo. The structure of the action is articulated in a succession of plastic figures. The forms, in relation to the white veil, tell of the rebirth of the soul from the pain of the body. The soul as the innermost being. The veil is the shroud of catharsis. It is the soul that soothes and transforms the pain of the body with its touch. Red is the background to the action. A colour that symbolises the fire that burns and awakens from suffering. It is the colour of pathos. The quest to be present in unconditional Love.
