To question the image as a saturated surface and to
restore to it a sensitive function, capable of evoking a profound and unspectacular relationship with the
gaze. In a visual context dominated by excess and habituation, photography becomes
a tool for making perceptible what normally remains invisible: thresholds, traces,
minimal presences that inhabit space without imposing themselves. The research focuses on the concept of border, understood
not as a fixed line or geographical limit, but as a mental and perceptual construction. The threshold emerges
as an intermediate and unstable space, a place of crossing rather than separation.
Through essential images, devoid of narrative emphasis, the points where inside and
outside, visible and invisible, control and abandonment come into tension are investigated. Knots, interweavings, shadows, and signs
become central elements of the visual research: points of accumulation and resistance that transform the
border into a relationship. The image does not describe, but suggests; it does not document, but activates a corporeal and perceptive
memory in the viewer. Photography is configured as a sensitive field, where the
materiality of space and that of experience merge, generating a slowed-down and
layered perception. The vision proposed is gentle and silent, in contrast to the aggressiveness of the
contemporary image. Each shot offers itself as a threshold to be inhabited, an opportunity for listening and suspension,
where the boundary loses its function as a barrier and reveals itself as a fluid space, open to the indeterminate
and transformation. The image thus takes on an ethical and perceptive function: it does not impose meanings,
but opens up the possibility of relationship. The gaze is invited to pause, to recognize a measure, to
confront what remains on the margins, where the landscape becomes experience and time expands,
allowing an intimate and reflective dimension to emerge. A practice that favors waiting. It is silent.
