Se non il vento

The research of Satya Forte focuses on three recurring
issues: the nature of materials, their tensions - physical
and cultural - in relation to context, the transience of
earthly things. Pereto’s installation articulates these premises in two communicating environments. In the first
is a triptych of wooden frames. In the center is a windproof match. On either side are short handwritten texts
alluding to dust and wind. In the room next, the dust in
those rooms has been meticulously collected and then
placed inside two glass separating funnels, from which
emerges the color difference between that collected from
the floor and that deposited on the objects. Such a volatile element, then, becomes the focus of the work, because
it can able to testify both to the history of the place - to
which the memory of Satya Forte’s first visit to Pereto
is linked - as well as the ritual action performed by the
artist. Atmosphere of places and autobiography, therefore, intertwine there allegorically in the narrative of the
ephemeral that unites everything: fire, wind, every living being in its destiny of dust.
