An artist is a sensitive being that communicates a message. Continuous producing takes the risk of becoming a fabbrica del vapore*. This brings to the world objects without content, rubbish: that is when an artist becomes a operaio**.
We, instead, believe in the real opera io**, the òperaio** that moves in a world leaving a sign. However l’Io** is always in the works.
*Fabbrica del vapore is a space dedicated to contemporary art in Milan, Italy; Fabbrica del vapore means “steam factory” (using the concept of “steam” as “rubbish”)
**Play on words: Operaio (worker), Opera (work, piece, project), and io (I, singular first-person pronoun)
