ANALOG COLLAGE ON PAPER
SINGLE EDITION
BLACK ALUMINIUM FRAME
Seraluci develops as a multidisciplinary work, combining different languages and aiming to promote a contemporary reflection on the topic of the sea, starting from an ancient source of fishing practised in Mediterranean sea– an activity, carried out on the so-called lampare, which is gradually being lost.
The design phase of Seraluci involves the creation of a series of graphic boards linked to the imagery of lampare, in which archive photography becomes a collective memory. Combining textual elements, graphic illustrations and hand-drawn drawings, the collection offers the conceptual framework for Seraluci, inviting the spectator to reflect on the topic of the sea as a contemporary metaphor. The series consists of nine boards.
