Tegola#1 is the first work in the Tegole series: a reinterpretation of the element of housing and construction that recalls the anthropological symbolism of the Totem as a guiding object that protects a social group. This “totemic object”, a metaphor for new paths and landscapes, is crossed by lines that visually allude to pre-shaped steel, the bending of matter and the strength of labour as intertwined aspects of the same reality. The “bending” of steel refers to the possibility of rethinking our ontological condition through work, giving new shape to the present. Starting from a symbolism linked to work, Tegola#1 is an invitation to reflect on a reversal that celebrates the material and spiritual in a universal form.
The work thus becomes not only a physical object, but an emblem of intellectual freedom and collective planning that invites a continuous dialogue between theory and practice, meaning and community, redesigning the existential trajectories that represent us in the contemporary world.
