The lost Paradise

This artwork was inspired by an episode of “Downton Abbey”: there was a soldier who had been injured during World War I by a grenade that hit his eye. His expression, so sad and beautiful, inspired me to create this painting, which I decided to title "The lost Paradise" because the landscape resembles a paradise, yet this man, despite being in such a wonderful place, still seems uncertain and skeptical about something—perhaps he senses an intruder. This piece is particularly representative of my artistic work because it conveys strong emotions, and I believe that many people, besides myself, can find something of their own experiences or emotions in it.
